Based on feedback received during TVA’s public scoping process and issues with contract agreements, TVA has come to an agreement to terminate the previously signed Jugfork Solar power purchase agreement. We are evaluating other power generating assets that will support economic development and address the increasing power demand across the system. Additional updates will be provided on this webpage. 

Public Involvement

September 2024 – TVA published a Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an environmental impact statement. The public scoping period closed on October 7, 2024. TVA received comments from one federal agency and 32 private individuals, which will be considered in the draft EIS and are available in Appendix B of the Jugfork Solar Scoping Report.
