Economic Development Grant Proposal for the Murray South Industrial Park

On May 22, 2026, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) published an environmental assessment (EA) and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for a proposed economic development grant through TVA InvestPrep funds to the Murray County Industrial Development Authority, to assist with the development of Site 8 of the Murray South Industrial Park (MSIP) in Murray County, Georgia. TVA funds would be matched with non-TVA funds and used to assist with tree clearing, grubbing, geotechnical borings, and grading of a dirt building pad and stormwater management pond. The area of TVA’s Proposed Action (herein referred to as the Project Area) encompasses 39.2 acres of mixed grassy and shrubby areas with some trees, in Chatsworth, Georgia.
